Nethradhama Superspeciality Eye Hospital have the capabilities to treat retinal detachment, using various treatment techniques, including the traditional scleral buckle to pneumatic retinopexy and primary vitrectomy. We also provide diagnostic and therapeutic options for the management of complex diabetic eye disease, including vitreoretinal surgical techniques for diabetic vitrectomies. Our Vitreo retinal surgical service includes intraoperative laser, microsurgical wide-field viewing capabilities using State-of-the-art Millenium Vitrectomy System from Bausch & Lomb and OFFISS operating microscope system (Topcon, Japan).
We also manage complex retinal conditions including proliferative vitreoretinopathy (PVR) management, giant retinal tears, the use of various intraocular agents, including long-acting gas injections, silicone oil and the use of "heavy liquids". In ocular trauma, we manage complex posterior segment trauma, including intraocular foreign body management, and the treatment of penetrating and perforating eye injuries.
