Given the magnitude of blindness, the facts about global blindness and the challenges faced in a developing country, the government alone cannot meet the health needs of all. Realizing the predicament, Dr. Sri Ganesh, Chairman and Managing Trustee wanted to establish an community eye care hospital that would supplement the efforts of the Government and also be self-supporting. Hence, he established the SHRADDHA EYE CARE TRUST, a 100-beded charitable eye hospital to initiate eye care community services in the year July 2002.
