RE-CERTIFICATION by NABH

The year 2011 has been very significant to us, since Nethradhama Super Specialty Eye Hospital, Jayanagar is the FIRST EYE HOSPITAL IN INDIA to be RE-ACCREDITED by NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare providers), a constituent board of Quality Council of India (QCI) which focuses on patient safety & quality of care. Earlier, we were the FIRST EYE HOSPITAL IN INDIA to be ACCREDITED by NABH in the year 2008. Nethradhama Super Speciality Eye Hospital, Jayanagar, Bangalore is certified for the complete NABH Hospital Standards which has international recognition by ISQUA (International Standards for Quality in Health Care).

Priti Natarajan Award For Good Eye Clinic / Eye Hospital Administration - AIOC 2011

The All India Ophthalmological Society – AIOS has conferred the prestigious “Priti Natarajan Award” for the year 2010 on Dr.Sri Ganesh, CMD, Nethradhama Hospitals for “Good Eye Hospital Administration”. The award was received by on Dr.Sri Ganesh at the 69th AIOS Conference held in Ahmedabad on 3rd February 2011.

It is indeed a proud moment for Nethradhama Super Speciality Eye hospital, Bangalore as we have been awarded the Best Project for Lean Six Sigma in Health care under the National Demonstration Project conducted by Quality council of India.
It is the first ever LSS project implemented in the “Health Care Sector” in India. This was a unique project which was mainly concerned with reducing the need for the use of spectacles for distant vision following the cataract surgeries with foldable intraocular lens implantation.
The other LSS project at Nethradhama was “Reduction in the cycle time for initial assessment during general eye check-up in the OPD”. This project was selected based on the Voice of customer.
Both the projects demonstrated tangible and intangible benefits to the patients and the organization. Lean Six Sigma principles ensured that both speed and quality of eye care services were enhanced.
The implementation of LSS principle was a hospital wide initiative which included the identification and elimination of the various “Lean Wastes”. The Six sigma analytical tools enhanced the power of data analysis and facilitated a measurable improvement in patient satisfaction. The LSS principles were very educative and catalyzed team work and enthusiastic approach to patient care.

FICCI Healthcare National Awards 2010 for Operational Excellence in Healthcare delivery

Nethradhama Hospitals Pvt Ltd has bagged the prestigious FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) care National Award 2101 for operational excellence in healthcare delivery. The award was received by Dr. Suman Shree R., CEO, Netharadhama Hospitals Pvt Ltd. by Honb'le Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Shri. Dinesh Trivedi who inaugurated the conference "FICCI HEAL 2010 : Health Care For All : Global Standards with Local Touch" and Shri. Kamal Hassan, noted film star and chairman, FICCI Entertainment committee 2010 at New Delhi on 6th September 2010.
