Laboratory, a supportive service at Nethradhama Superspeciality Eye Hospital, provides the necessary laboratory investigations required for patient care to ensure physical health status before eye surgery. The Laboratory does various tests related to Biochemistry, Clinical Pathology, Microbiology, Haematology, Serology, Infectious diseases, Histopathology etc. The in house lab facility provided by Nethradhama is also supported for outsourced tests which are performed at NABL accredited Laboratories only.
The qualitative and quantitative analysis of biological fluids such as blood, serum or plasma, tissue, urine, stool, CSF etc. are performed for specific diagnosis to support Ophthalmologists in the practice of medicine. The greatest emphasis has been given to ensure accuracy, precision reproducibility and prompt reporting with minimal waiting time.
The laboratory is equipped with state of the art equipment such as poch -100 i Haematology analyzer, Easylyte – Electrolyte auto analyzer, Nyco Card reader, Statfax 3300 Semi Auto Analyzer (Awareness technology, USA), Olympus CH20i Binocular microscope, Centrifuge (Remi make), Incubator with Laminar airflow hood for microbiological culture. To operate these sophisticated gadgets, the laboratory has dedicated, motivated, knowledgeable and qualified technical staff. This core team of personnel is constantly involved in updating the laboratory techniques and maintaining international quality control and quality analysis standards.
