| ERG is an objective method of assessing the retinal function. The eyes are stimulated with Ganz field dome and this evokes signals from the eye with the help of electrodes. This is a very useful test in hereditary retinal disorders, unexplained visual loss, to monitor certain drug toxicity affecting the retina and retinal vascular diseases. This test can also be done in children with the help of LED goggles. |
