The education and training of health care professionals are important because they affect the quality and level of care patients receive. At Nethradhama, education and training are given special importance. This arises from our recognition of the fact that the imbalance in the distribution of health care across the world is largely due to imbalances in the distribution of not only material, but also human resources. Therefore, when considering their healthcare/eye care options, patients should be mindful of their provider’s training and qualifications.
|
In order to ensure effective, accessible, and adequately distributed health care of international standards across our country, committed and well-trained health care professionals are needed to facilitate the dispensation of high quality health care in areas where it is most needed. Nethradhama is recognized by the National Board of Examinations for DNB Program. Nethradhama has developed effective fellowship programs on General Ophthalmology. We feel that direct involvement of the fellows in a research and training program will greatly enhance their scholarly development, provide a foundation for logical and critical thinking, and encourage lifelong habits of continuing scholarship, concepts and practice of ophthalmology.
