• She received her basic medical education (MBBS) from Sri Devraj Urs Medical College, Kolar, Karnataka in 1994
• She did 18months fellowship in Vitreo Retina at Retina Institute of Karnataka in 2008. She underwent one month training for Lasers in Diabetic Retinopathy Management at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, India in 2001.
  
• She completed her D.O.M.S. from Bangalore Medical College, Minto Ophthalmic Hospital, Bangalore in 1999 and passed Diplomate in National Board from Nethradhama Super Specialty Eye Hospital in 2007
• She has presented scientific papers in national conferences and many publications in Journals.
• She received Dr. Basheer Mekhari 2nd Best Paper Award at 27th Karnataka State Ophthalmic Conference in 2008 for scientific paper titled “ To study Infrared imaging in diagnosis and follow up of macular pathologies”.
