- She received her basic medical education (MBBS) with certificate of merit from J.N.Medical College, Belgaum, Karnataka in 1997
- She completed her MS Ophthalmology with highest grades in the batch from J.N.Medical College, Belgaum, Karnataka in 2003 and passed Diplomate in National Board in 2005
- She did two year fellowship in Retina Vitreous at Aravind Eye Hospital and Post Graduate Research Institute in 2006
- She completed both parts of the International Basic and Clinical Assessments of the International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO) in 2008.
- She has presented scientific papers in national conferences and many publications in Journals.
